Concordian International School's back-to-school issue covers the Class of 2012 achieving a 37-point IB Diploma average (world average 29.83) with a 100% pass rate, TEDxYouth@Krungthep hosted at the school, the inaugural PYP Centerstage talent show, a G11 Shanghai CP Lotus internship, and the Teacher Showcase fundraiser.

This Welcome Back to School issue of IMPACT, the magazine of Concordian International School in Bangkok, opens the 2012-2013 academic year with messages from School Director Vannee C. Ross, Thai Principal Ajarn Vichitvong Chanarut, High School Principal and Academic Dean Dr. James Leung, and Elementary and Middle School Principal Laurent Goetschmann. The leadership celebrates the graduating Class of 2012, which achieved a 100% IB Diploma pass rate and a 37-point average against a worldwide average of 29.83. A university acceptance list spanning the 2010, 2011, and 2012 cohorts shows placements at institutions including Stanford, Imperial College London, the National University of Singapore, and Chulalongkorn University, with the school's IB averages recorded as 37 in 2010, 35 in 2011, and 37 in 2012.

The edition recaps a busy year of student life. Coverage includes the third graduating class's May 26-27 ceremonies, with valedictorian Sirada (Ping) Rochanavibhata and salutatorian Lisa (Sand) Peatranut; the first PYP Centerstage talent show; the MYP Spring Concert; a friendly swim meet against Ruamrudee International School; and the first Concordian Digital Science Fair for Grades 5-8. Music students performed a gift of music for His Majesty the King at Siriraj Hospital on June 5th, and the annual Khao Yai Tree Planting Trip continued the school's environmental tradition.

Features highlight global and experiential learning: a CP Lotus internship in Shanghai by Panisa (Cream) Sundravorakul, two Trinity College, University of Melbourne leadership scholarships won by Jessica Williams and Betty Park, experiential learning in Buriram, and a Bangkok fashion workshop with a NABA Milan professor. The issue also covers TEDxYouth@Krungthep, curated by IB teacher Aloha Lavina and held on March 31, 2012, plus community service efforts, the Love of Reading Week book drive of over 650 donated books, and a reprinted feature, Learning Language Is Child's Play. Closing announcements introduce new teachers and a construction update on two new campus buildings.
