The Summer 2025 issue of Concordian International School's IMPACT magazine covers the Class of 2025 graduation and university acceptances (60% of UK applicants accepted to world top-50 universities), the first-ever MYP musical Into the Woods Jr., and student achievements in swimming, Thai classical music, and the Water Cube Cup Chinese singing contest.
Issue 43 of Concordian Impact, the Summer Issue for June 2025, closes the 2024-2025 academic year at Concordian International School in Bangkok with a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Suthida's birthday, celebrated on June 2nd, 2025, and an extended Cover Story devoted to the graduating Class of 2025. The edition reports university acceptances showing 60% of students applying overseas were accepted to a world top 50 university, 81% to a world top 100 university, and 100% of Thailand applications accepted to a Thailand top 10 university, with offers from institutions including University College London, the University of Edinburgh, the University of California system, New York University Shanghai, Cornell, Chulalongkorn and Mahidol. The Valedictory Ceremony, farewell speeches, and the La La Land-themed City of Stars Prom Night on May 25th round out the senior tribute.
The magazine celebrates trilingual achievement and the arts. Concordian hosted the Cultures of China Water Cube Cup 2025 Thailand Final on May 31st, where students Finn (Grade 5) and Terter (Grade 6) won gold first-place awards. Twin brothers Dol and Don placed first and second in a national Ranad (Thai xylophone) contest, and swimmer Phaak earned gold in the 50m breaststroke at the Thailand Age Group Swimming Championships. First-ever events featured prominently, including the Secondary Thai Speech Contest, the Grade 7 Film Festival, and the MYP musical Into the Woods Jr., which raised 114,180 baht for The Child's Dream Foundation.
Charitable efforts recur throughout: the Voices for Change concert raised over 100,000 baht for Bangkok earthquake relief, and the K2 Walkathon raised 367,789 baht for Myanmar earthquake victims. School Update sections cover the PYP Exhibition, MYP Student-Led Conference, G10 Personal Project Exhibition for the Class of 2027, DP Visual Arts and Design exhibitions, China exchange programs, IB Global Youth Action Fund grants, Dragons badminton and table tennis results, and high school service clubs, alongside two featured family interviews.
