IMPACT 41 by Concordian International School

Issue 41 of Impact, the Back to School Issue published in November 2024, opens the 2024-2025 academic year, which marks the 24th year of Concordian International School in Bangkok. The edition begins with a celebration of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn's 72nd birthday anniversary, held at the school's main lobby on July 26th, 2024, where the community wore yellow. Editorial messages follow from Founding Director Khun Varnnee Chearavanont Ross, Head of School Mr. Laurent Goetschmann, the Thai Principal Ajarn Vichitvong, and Board of Trustees Chair Mr. John Chu, with several reflecting on the thoughtful integration of artificial intelligence into education.

The issue revisits whole-school milestones from June 2024, including the Grade 12 Valedictory Ceremony on June 15th, featuring a keynote by alumnus Mr. Soravis Srinawakoon (Man), the Grade 12 Farewell Celebration, and the K3 and PYP Grade 5 graduations on June 19th. It covers the trilingual program, the Mid-Autumn Festival on September 17th, the EY and PY Wai Kru ceremonies on September 26th, and Back to School Week. A notable highlight was Concordian hosting more than 350 IB educators for the IB Southeast Asia Regional Workshops on September 27th-29th, 2024.

Student life features include the new faculty for 2024-2025, the Middle and High School Student Governments, clubs such as Food for All, Telemedics, Saturday School and The Book Club, and MYP Service & Community Appreciation Day. Coverage of bonding trips spans Grade 8 (Khao Yai), Grade 9 (Pattaya, including the Redemptorist School for the Blind), Grade 10, the Grade 11 DP Retreat, and the Grade 12 University Preparation Trip to Pattaya.
