Issue 28 of IMPACT, the June 2020 Summer Issue, captures a year at Concordian International School that began with vibrant Chinese New Year celebrations and ended with the school's transition to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Editor Megan Ames opens by noting first-time events held that semester, including the Poco a Poco Wind Ensemble concert and the PYP Zoom Dance Party, alongside the magazine's debut coverage of Ice Hockey, Strength and Endurance, and Squash. Messages from Founding Director Varnnee C. Ross and Board of Trustees Chair Chawin Chantharasenawong reflect on the unprecedented disruption and on the Class of 2020.

The Founding Director highlights the university acceptance results for the 35 graduates, which include three future medical doctors, a dentist, and a veterinarian. Students were accepted to Beijing University, Fudan University, and three students to Tsinghua University, among others. School updates from Early Years, Primary Years, and Secondary describe the move to the Online Learning Protocol in mid-March using tools such as Seesaw, Google Classroom, and Zoom, plus events like the first Zoom Dance Party (April 9, 2020) and the 100 Days of School math celebration.

Athletics coverage spans football, basketball, squash, and the inaugural ice hockey team, which debuted on February 13th at Mega Bangna and won silver in the Bangkok School Ice Hockey Championship. The G7U Girls Football team completed a perfect season, winning both the AISAA League and Tournament without conceding a goal. The Strength and Endurance girls captured gold as AISAA Champions.

Showcase features include the Sornthong Contest, where Grade 9 student Hui Hui won second place; The Voice of Concordian Chinese Singing Contest (4th season); the Wind Ensemble; the drama production of David Ives' All in the Timing; and the IB Visual Arts Exhibition. Events include Middle School Sports Day, the 4th Chinese Temple Fair, Friday Funday, Anti-Bullying Day, International Women's Day, and farewells from the student governments. A special feature details the TIGER Fund, which donated another 1,000,000 baht in medical equipment and 12.5 tonnes of rice to southern Thailand to fight COVID-19.
